Elements of Shipboard Safety


Course Code: ESS

The minimum requirement for crewing onboard a commercial vessel in Queensland, QMTS is proud to be able to offer the approved training course Elements of Shipboard Safety (ESS) from Maritime Safety Queensland. It is a mandatory requirement for all crew who have completed six months service at sea to complete this course, we recommend that anybody wishing to pursue a career in the maritime industry obtain this entry level qualification prior to commencing employment.

If you have 6 or more staff to train in ESS we will gladly arrange a suitable course time outside the programme if that fits better with your scheduled activities.

Qualification issued by Wide Bay TAFE upon successful completion.

Cost
$495.00 per person.

Duration
20 hours includes practical sessions (fire fighting, flare & liferaft drills).
